Mayor of St. Ann’s Bay and Chairman of the St. Ann Municipal Corporation, Michael Belnavis was reportedly attacked and wounded at his home on Monday.

According to a release from the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) the mayor sought treatment after being attacked by an unknown assailant at his residence.

JLP Communications Taskforce Representative Senator Abka Fitz-Henley says the mayor sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
