The Ministry of Health and Wellness is awaiting a report on the circumstances that led to a patient falling to his death at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH), today.

Preliminary reports are that the elderly man who was a patient at the facility fell from an upper floor sometime this morning.

His identity has not yet been revealed.

The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) confirmed the incident but told IRIE FM News that it was awaiting a detailed report of what took place.

It noted that the police were notified of the incident and have launched an investigation.
