Former People’s National Party caretaker for the Kingston Central Constituency Lawrence Rowe has resigned from the Party with immediate effect.

The resignation comes after the Party withdrew Mr. Rowe last week as its representative in the Constituency.

He is replaced by retired Senior Superintendent of Police Steve McGregor, who will now contest the upcoming General Elections.

Mr. Rowe submitted a text message informing the Party’s General Secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell of his resignation.

The message, which was forwarded to IRIE FM News by Mr. Rowe last evening, ended with “The word is love”.
