Religious leader prays for government to be accountable and alleviate crime and violence at Leadership Prayer Breakfast
An accountable government, that provides more jobs, alleviates crime and violence, double standard and poverty, were among the prayer requests at this morning’s National Leadership Prayer Breakfast.
President of the East Jamaica Conference of Seventh Day Adventists, Dr Meric Walker made the appeals, while praying for the government, the judiciary and the public sector.
He prayed that the government will be transparent, legal, responsive, effective, efficient, inclusive and equitable.
He also prayed that God will be the head of the Judiciary, the heart of lawmakers and the feet of the public sector.
He then prayed that the country’s leaders will provide more work, and bigger benefits to the population, while alleviating poverty, crime and violence among other things.
