The Clarendon police are probing the death of a woman allegedly due to the accidental discharge of a firearm belonging to a policeman.

Dead is 20-year-old Jimoy Suckoo, a bartender of Paradise in Westmoreland.

The incident occurred at a hotel in May Pen on Sunday night.

Reports from the police are that at about 7 PM, Suckoo was in a hotel room with a policeman with whom she shared a relationship.

It is alleged that the policeman’s firearm fell, and in an attempt to catch it, one round was discharged in the direction of Suckoo, hitting her.

She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Investigations are ongoing.
