Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says discussions are to be held with the relatives of a 4-year-old girl who died at the Bustamante Hospital for Children, recently.

Alexandrianna Jones reportedly passed away from complications following surgery.

Her relatives have raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding her death. 

On Tuesday, the South East Regional Health Authority said an internal investigation was launched into the matter. 

Providing an update, yesterday, Dr. Tufton said following a preliminary report on the matter, a meeting will be held with the child’s relatives.

He also condemned threats against workers at the Bustamante Hospital for Children, following the girl’s death.
