St. James Police Head hopeful work will begin on new Granville Police Station, this year
Head of the St. James Police Superintendent Eron Samuels says he expects that work will begin on the new Granville Police Station, this year.
The station was destroyed by fire in May 2021.
During Thursday’s meeting of the St. James Municipal Corporation, Councillor for the Granville Division Michael Troupe expressed concern about the lack of a police station in the community for 3 years.
He asked for an update on the process of rebuilding the facility.
In response, Superintendent Samuels noted that there were issues with the property that was initially identified for construction.
As such, a new location was sought and work should get underway later this year.
