NSWMA considering night-time collection to improve efficiency and avoid traffic
Chairman of the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) Owen Ellington has proposed night-time collection as part of measures to improve the agency’s efficiency and avoid traffic congestion.
He made the suggestion while addressing a special operations meeting.
The meeting was held under the theme operation reset which focuses on the authority reviewing its operations to ensure that it delivers service that is efficient and timely.
Mr. Ellington also suggested an increased focus on collections in residential or public commercial areas at night.
He encouraged the NSWMA’s senior management team to leverage their expertise to drive transformative outcomes.
