The pregnant female found dead in Devon Pen, St. Mary, on Sunday has been identified as 16-year-old Jadene Gayle, also known as “Big Red,” of Sligo Road, Mountain View, St. Andrew.

Police say Gayle was approximately six months pregnant at the time of her death.

Reports indicate that her body was discovered by residents wrapped in a tarpaulin along the Devon Pen main road.

At the time of discovery, she was wearing a white T-shirt, blue underwear and a pair of black socks.

Head of the St. Mary Police, Deputy Superintendent Anthony Wallace, told IRIE FM News that a person of interest has been identified in the case.
