Motorists urged to drive carefully along Bog Walk Gorge
Motorists who traverse the Bog Walk Gorge in St. Catherine are being urged to drive carefully in order to avoid incidents that may cause the roadway to be blocked.
The appeal came from Head of the St. Catherine North Police, Superintendent Hopton Nicholson after a trailer truck got stuck on the Flat Bridge yesterday.
Videos circulating on social media show the rear wheels of the trailer dangling over the edge of the bridge.
The roadway was rendered impassable for over an hour while the authorities worked to remove the vehicle.
Noting that there is no retaining wall on the bridge, Superintendent Nicholson urged motorists to exercise caution along the gorge.
