PM Holness, Minister Grange laud Intimate production, reiterate plans to improve infrastructure
Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Culture Minister Olivia Grange while lauding the organizers of Intimate for their production, have reiterated plans to alleviate traffic congestion experienced by commuters attending the concert.
In an interview with IRIE Fm’s Nicholas Evans, PM Holness and Minister Grange shared that construction for the project will begin by 2026 and upon completion, a section of the stretch will be renamed in honour of the late cultural icon, Harry Belafonte.
Meanwhile, Minister Grange also shared plans for the area to be designated an entertainment zone.
The Prime Minister said within the next few years, Jamaica will have the infrastructure to host world class festivals that will put Jamaica on the map as the place where people come together to have fun.
