Residents of Mason Drive, in Lawrence Tavern, St. Andrew, took to the streets this morning to protest a fatal shooting incident in the community, on Friday, January 3.

The deceased is 41 year old shop operator, and roof repair tradesman, Andrew Richards.

According to police, Richards was shot and killed during an alleged confrontation with police officers.

The Independent Commission of Investigations, Indecom, is probing the fatal shooting.

Irie Fm news understands, that the placard-bearing residents, are converged on a section of the roadway, demanding justice for Richards.

It’s reported that the police are also on the scene.
