St. Ann janitor charged after allegedly removing cash from business establishment
A St. Ann janitor has been charged with larceny as a servant after allegedly removing cash from a business establishment where he worked.
He is fifty-four-year-old Arland Martin of Browns Town in the parish.
Police say the manager of the establishment discovered discrepancies in two separate transactions.
An investigation revealed that last October $140,300 went missing while $146,000 vanished last December.
Surveillance footage reportedly later confirmed that Martin accessed the company’s vault on two occasions and removed the cash.
A report was made to the police, leading to Martin’s arrest and charge.
His court date is being finalized.
