“Your president wants to hear from you” – JTA embarks on series of consultations with educators
The Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) has embarked on a series of consultations with educators across the island.
In his New Year’s message, JTA President Dr. Mark Smith said the Association, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, has been the heartbeat of the education sector.
Dr. Smith noted that the JTA shaped and re-shaped the educational landscape for six decades, championing the cause of teachers and by extension students.
He said the JTA’s commitment will continue, starting with the series of consultations.
