A 91 year old woman perished in a house fire in Bluefields, Westmoreland early this morning.  

Dead is Katleen Scott, of the community. 

Acting Superintendent for the Westmoreland Fire Brigade, Oniel Henry says the fire impacted a 12 apartment structure, and a guesthouse adjacent to it. 

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

He reiterated the need for citizens to practice fire safety, especially at this time of the year.
