Westmoreland police probing deaths of a doctor and a chef in separate incidents
The Westmoreland Police are probing the death of a medical doctor in Savanna-la-mar.
Dead is 57-year-old Aung Naing of Llaindilo in the parish.
Naing who was last seen Sunday December 8, was found dead at his home yesterday at about 2:00 P.M.
It’s reported that residents noticed a foul odor at Naing’s home and summoned the police.
On their arrival Naing was found in the house on his back with wounds to the left side of his chest and neck.
Meanwhile, a pregnant woman was gunned down at her home in Little London Westmoreland yesterday.
She is 32 year old Lachia Grant, a chef of New Hope Little London Westmoreland.
Reports from the Little London Police are that at about 4:10 P.M., Grant was at home with her children, when two men armed with hand guns rode up on a motorcycle.
It’s reported that the gun men had a brief conversation with her before opening gunfire hitting her several times.
They escaped.
Police were summoned and on their arrival Grant was seen on her back with gunshot wounds to her upper body.
She was pronounced dead at hospital.
