A strong 6.1 magnitude earthquake rocked sections of the country early this morning.

The earthquake unit said it occurred at 1 AM.

The epicentre was located approximately 165 kilometres north of Ocho Rios, St. Ann.

The earthquake unit said it had a focal depth of 10 kilometres and was reportedly felt across several parishes.
