TikTok’s gifting system, which allows users to send virtual tokens of appreciation to creators during live streams, is at the center of the controversy. MOCA cautions that the system could potentially be exploited to launder illicit funds.

Opinions online are divided. Some users are calling for the app to be banned entirely, while others are urging MOCA to shift its focus to investigating the Prime Minister.
