Novel AI rehabilitation technology rolls out at Jamaica College

A ground breaking technology that will assist in the rehabilitation of athletes has been unveiled in Jamaica.

The artificial intelligence technology that will be used for the first time in the Caribbean can give real time data that can identify issues so that coaches can fix and get their athletes to be at their optimum level.

Details of the technology was announced during the partnership between Jamaica College sports and Surgix Limited on Wednesday morning.

Surgix Jamaica Ltd is the leading company for prosthetics solutions, joint replacement surgery, accident and trauma implants, platelet-rich plasma therapy, stem cell therapy, bracing and orthotics solutions.

Technical leader of the Jamaica college track and field program Duane Johnson tells us more.

Principal at Jamaica College Wayne Robinson explains that the technology will expand in Jamaica in due course.
