Residents of Spicy Hill in Trelawny to benefit from newly commissioned NWC pipelines
An estimated 1,200 residents of Spicy Hill in Trelawny are set to benefit from today’s commissioning of newly installed water pipelines, aimed at serving the community’s growing population.
The new pipeline spans 2.5 kilometres and cost over $30 million.
It is expected to formally integrate more households into the National Water Commission’s water supply system, thereby addressing the challenges of under-served areas.
Water Minister Matthew Samuda says the commissioning represents the government fulfilling its commitment to citizens.
Mr. Samuda urged residents to sign up and regularize their water supply.
