The Art of Living Foundation Jamaica and The Amber Group have provided a $5 million USD aid package to Jamaica.

This was revealed by founder of The Amber Group, Dushyant Savadia on Friday.

He was speaking at a function for the signing of an agreement with Art of Living Foundation, a volunteer-based, humanitarian and educational non-governmental organization, active in more than 180 countries.

It is led by Spiritual Leader and Peace Ambassador Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who expressed the value of uplifting the happiness index of the country.

Meantime, Prime Minister Andrew Holness says his recent visit to India reflects the shared commitment to foster peace, unity and social development through compassion and service.

He adds that the government is seeking to integrate peace building within government policy.
