Head of the St. Elizabeth police, Acting Superintendent Coleridge Minto has maintained that no permit will be granted for bike shows in the parish at this time.

This, as 12 people have been killed in motorcycle-related crashes in St. Elizabeth so far this year.

Acting Superintendent Minto noted that lawmen have seized hundreds of unlicensed and uninsured bikes on the parish’s roadways.

In the meantime, Minto said residents should continue to submit applications for event permits well in advance to give lawmen sufficient time to investigate and make informed decisions.
