Bartlett has high hopes for winter tourist season which gets underway on December 15
Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett says the 2024/2025 winter tourist season, which begins on December 15, is expected to be “very good” for Jamaica.
He made the statement while noting improved bookings and airlift for the country ahead of the season.
Mr. Bartlett said that out of the United States, there are 70,000 more seats than there were last year.
He pointed out that direct flights from Lima, Peru, to the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay via LATAM Airlines are now available, and a strong response is expected from the South American market.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bartlett said Jamaica remains a destination of choice for other markets.
