Two men, including a Bahamian national, have been slapped with multiple charges following a multi-million dollar drug seizure by police in Priory, St. Ann, last Saturday.

Charged are 27-year-old Ronique Scott, a laborer of Seville Heights and Coxheath District in St. Ann, and 56-year-old Andrew Adderley, otherwise called Reds, a fisherman from Clarence Town, Long Island, Bahamas.

The men have been charged with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja, trafficking ganja, conspiracy to export ganja, possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, trafficking cocaine, attempting to export cocaine, and illegal entry.

According to police, at around 4:20 A.M. on Saturday November 30, a team of lawmen observed a blue Isuzu motor truck with the two men seated in the front and a yellow backhoe parked behind the vehicle.

The police conducted a search of the truck, which revealed several knitted bags containing parcels wrapped in masking tape and clear plastic.

The parcels were found to contain compressed vegetable matter resembling ganja and a white substance resembling cocaine.

The drugs, which weighed approximately 3,700 pounds, have an estimated value of $53 million.

Both men were taken into custody and charged by the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division yesterday.

Their court dates are being finalized.
