Water Minister Matthew Samuda says it would cost approximately 5 billion U.S. dollars to make Jamaica’s water infrastructure resilient by 2030.
He made the statement at the University of Technology’s Water Symposium this morning.
The symposium is being held under the theme: “Sustainable Water Management and Innovation.”
Mr. Samuda said in order for resilience to be achieved, as it relates to potable water, irrigation and sanitation, a significant financial investment is necessary.
