Five people murdered in incidents across the island between last night and this morning

At least five people were murdered in separate incidents across the island between last night and this morning.

The incidents occurred in St. Andrew, Kingston, and Manchester.

In the latest incident at around 8:30 A.M., this morning, a school bus driver employed by Holmwood Technical High School was shot and killed by gunmen.

The deceased has been identified as Rohan Gentles, otherwise called ‘Scooga.’

Reports indicate that at about 8:40 A.M., students were disembarking the bus, which was parked on the school grounds when the driver was approached by armed men who opened gunfire at him.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the man was seen lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

At around 1:30 A.M. this morning, a security guard was shot and killed by gunmen in Trench Town, Kingston.

He has been identified as Keshawn Whitlock, otherwise called “Buppa.”

Less than an hour earlier, in Hunts Bay, St. Andrew, two males were shot and killed by gunmen.

Police identified them as 17-year-old Andrew Maylor and 19-year-old Cornel Wellington, both of Glen Road, Kingston 13.

In another incident at around 11:45 P.M. last night, a man known only as Ben was shot and killed by gunmen on Anderson Road in Cross Roads, St. Andrew. Two other men were wounded in that incident.

The police are investigating the incidents.
