9 candidates duly nominated today to contest by-elections in two constituencies
Nine candidates were duly nominated today to contest the upcoming by-elections in two constituencies and two divisions.
Three independents are among those nominated.
A statement from the Electoral Office of Jamaica indicated that for the Trelawny Southern Constituency, two persons were nominated.
They are independent candidate Lloyd “Mozy” Gillings, and Jamaica Labour Party candidate, Marisa Coleen Dalrymple- Philibert.
In the St. Andrew North Western constituency, three persons were nominated.
They are Duane Smith of the JLP, as well as 2 independents; Rohan Banks and Carl O’neal Marshall.
Two persons were nominated for the Aenon Town Division in Clarendon.
They are Suzette Erica Barton of the JLP, and Delroy Dawson of the People’s National Party.
And, over in Morant Bay Division in St. Thomas, two persons were nominated.
They are Winston Downie of the JLP and Yvonne Rose Marie Shaw of the PNP.
All four by-elections are scheduled for November 22.
