Tufton denies claim that government is purchasing sub-standard equipment for use in the health sector
Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says reports of sub-standard equipment being used in the island’s health facilities are untrue.
His comment follows claims from Opposition Spokesman on Health Dr. Alfred Dawes that government is purchasing sub-standard equipment to use in the sector.
Speaking at a post-cabinet press briefing yesterday, Dr. Tufton said he has no knowledge of this.
He said that while there are concerns about the country’s procurement process, stakeholders should work together instead of casting blame.
