Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced by-elections for two constituencies.

They are Trelawny Southern and St Andrew North Western.

Mr. Holness said nomination day for both will be Wednesday November 6, and election day Friday November 22.  

Duane Smith is the Jamaica Labour Party’s candidate for St. Andrew North Western which became vacant after former Member of Parliament and Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke resigned.

Meantime, Mr. Holness said former House Speaker Marisa Dalrymple Philibert who resigned as MP for Southern Trelawny last year September, will be the JLP’s candidate for that constituency.
