The opposition People’s National Party says the health sector is at a tipping point.

Spokesperson on Health and Wellness Dr. Alfred Dawes says he expects a lot more complaints about the sector, stating that this is “the beginning of its getting worse”.

He says the system is creaking under the weight of increased utilization.

Meantime Dr. Dawes says hospital administrators have been propping up the system for years with little budgetary support.

According to him, while they have requested funding over the years and have been denied, they are now being told the issue is not money, but that they are the problem.

Dr Dawes states that health workers have been working in deplorable conditions over the years.
