The management of the Royalton Negril Hotel in Westmoreland has begun implementing several measures to address issues that led to a protest by staff on Monday.

The measures include one off payments to the workers.

Their implementation follows a meeting with management, staff, Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett and other ministry officials this morning.

Meantime, Labour Minister Pearnel Charles Jr.  also met with executives and employees at Royalton Blue Waters in Falmouth, Trelawny, this morning to address issues facing those workers.

He noted that the meeting was constructive.

He said a sector assessment will be undertaken as discussions continue around best practices that serve the interest of both parties.
