The police force has started recruiting persons for its Agricultural Wardens Unit.

The newly formed specialized division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force is in response to calls from farmers for more help in stemming praedial larceny.

Agriculture Minister Floyd Green told parliament today that over 100 persons have signed up.

The first cohort will begin training next year January.
