The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) is urging the government to call the general election now.

The election is constitutionally due, next year.

Speaking during the presentation of Norman Scott as PNP’s candidate for South East St. Elizabeth, last evening PNP General Secretary Dr. Dayton Campbell urged the Andrew Holness led administration to announce the poll date.

Meantime, Dr. Campbell has given the ruling Jamaica Labour Party, JLP a failing grade.

Dr. Campbell said, just because the JLP is doing work, doesn’t mean the party is not performing poorly.
