Irie FM’s “Big A” among Jamaicans being honoured for their contribution to nation building
Irie FM’s veteran Broadcaster Ainsworth “Big A” Higgins is among some 200 Jamaicans being honoured today for their contribution to nation building.
The national honours and awards ceremony is underway at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston.
Mr. Higgins is being acknowledged for his years of service to broadcasting.
He is being awarded the Badge of Honour for Long and Faithful Service.
Meantime, 8 Jamaicans received the Order of Jamaica, they are; Professor Wendel Able, Tourism Minister Ed Bartlett, National Security Minister Dr .Horace Chang, Businessman Gary Hendrickson, Ambassador Audrey Marks, William Shaghoury, Littleton Shirley and Senator Don Wehby.
Jamaicans are being honoured for their works in various sectors.
