Integrity Commission rejects claims that it is operating in a partisan manner
The Integrity Commission (IC) has rejected claims by detractors that the agency is operating in a partisan manner.
This following criticisms from some parliamentarians regarding recent reports published by the commission.
The reports included one on Prime Minister Andrew Holness’ statutory declarations.
Speaking at this morning’s Integrity Commission Oversight Committee meeting, Chairman of the IC, Justice Seymour Panton noted remarks made regarding the commission operating with malice.
On the issue of the commission’s performance, Justice Panton pointed out that the Prime Minister himself has commended the Integrity Commission on several occasions starting in 2020.
