Holness notes big plans for Portmore
Prime Minister Andrew Holness says his administration has big plans for Portmore, St. Catherine.
He reiterates that Portmore deserves to become a parish and not just for political reasons.
In highlighting major development plans for the municipality, Mr. Holness notes that road works are underway on Grange Lane.
He says works are to be undertaken from Braeton to Hellshire, and a new entry will be created for Portmore.
He states that some 15,000 new houses will be erected under the Bernard Lodge project with some three thousand already under construction.
The factories corporation also has plans for a tech park for Naggo Head.
The Prime Minister says Portmore residents will benefit from new buses and garbage trucks that are to be acquired.
Mr. Holness was addressing supporters in South East St. Catherine yesterday.
