Alleged Clansman Gang member, who police believe was responsible for Cherry Tree Lane massacre, fatally shot
An alleged Clansman Gang member, who police believe was responsible for the Cherry Tree Lane massacre, in Clarendon, in August was fatally shot by cops today.
Dead is Kennrick Campbell, also known as ”Wormy”.
The Cherry Tree Lane shooting resulted in the deaths of 8 persons, including a young boy.
Several other people were wounded.
Following investigations police arrested some suspects.
Another suspect—Steve Smith, otherwise called ‘Thicka’ was fatally shot during a confrontation with cops in August.
Head of the Area 5 Police, Acting Assistant Commissioner Christopher Phillips, said Campbell’s death is a significant breakthrough in efforts to dismantle gangs.
He said police are still pursuing Campbell’s accomplices.
