At least three flights to Jamaica cancelled due to Hurricane Milton
Hurricane Milton, which tore through Florida last night has led to the cancellation of three flights at the Sangster International Airport (SIA) in Montego Bay, St. James.
This as the Orlando International Airport is not operational.
Senior Strategist in the Tourism Ministry, Delano Seiveright told IRIE FM News that continuous monitoring of Hurricane Milton’s impact on the SIA is being undertaken.
He also noted that arrangements had to be made for persons who booked flights from Tampa and Sarasota to Sangster.
Those two cities were severely impacted by the hurricane.
In an update this morning, Transport Minister Daryl Vaz noted that Milton did not disrupt operations at the Norman Manley and Ian Fleming International Airports.
