Reggae Girlz striker Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw was on the score-sheet as Manchester City opened their Women’s Champions league campaign with an impressive 2-nil win against title-holders Barcelona yesterday.

Shaw, the reigning PFA Women’s Player of the Year, found the target 13 minutes from time when she skipped past one challenge and slotted into the back of the net after being played through by Naomi Layzell.

Earlier, Layzell opened City’s account in the 36th minute, with her maiden senior goal.

City will next be in action next Wednesday when they play away to Austrian opponents St. Polten.
