Samuda pledges to work for all constituents regardless of party affiliation
Member of Parliament elect for North East St Ann Matthew Samuda, has pledged that he will work for the benefit of all constituents, regardless of their party affiliation.
Samuda gave the assurance, while making his victory speech at the Jamaica Labour Party constituency office, in St Ann’s bay last evening.
This, after he emerged the winner, in yesterday’s by-election, defeating his 2 challengers.
Samuda polled 4, 838 votes.
Independent candidate David Anderson got 222 votes, while Chase Neil of the United Independents’ Congress, got 30 votes.
Samuda promised to build on the legacy of former MP, the late Shahine Robinson.
He urged residents of the constituency to support him.
