State-of-the-art nursery opened at South Camp Adult Correctional Centre
Jamaica now has a state-of-the-art nursery, to aid in the rehabilitation of incarcerated women.
The facility at the South Camp Adult Correctional Centre in Kingston was officially opened on Tuesday.
The nursery, built at a cost of over 13 million dollars will house three incarcerated mothers and their children.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, State Minister for National Security, Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn said the facility is an investment in the nation’s future.
