Gov’t remains committed to ensuring Jamaica achieves developed status – PM Andrew Holness
Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the government remains committed to efforts aimed at ensuring that Jamaica achieves developed status.
The pledge follows a recent revelation from the Prime Minister that Jamaica is unlikely to meet the goals outlined in the Vision 2030 development plan.
Despite this, the Prime Minister noted that the country is leading the Caribbean in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He noted that this is despite several disruptive events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and supply chain issues which affected the pace at which several goals are achieved.
