Classes at the Little London Primary School in Westmoreland have been suspended with resumption set for tomorrow.

This as the school community continues to mourn the loss of Principal Shirlet Craig Davis.

She passed away on Saturday after ailing for some time.

Representatives from the Education Ministry, the Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) and guidance counsellors met with the staff this morning to provide grief support.

JTA Region West Officer Norman Allen encouraged the workers to use the opportunity to celebrate the late principal’s contributions and impact.

Meanwhile, Pastor of the Little London fellowship Church of God, Christopher Anderson said though grief can be overwhelming, the teachers should embrace the emotion, as it is a reminder that their humanity is intact.

The pastor says this is important, especially as tragedy continues to permeate the society.
