JPS President says company not just interested in restoring power but in helping to build back homes and lives

President of the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) Hugh Grant says the company is not only interested in restoring power but also in helping to rebuild homes and lives.

He re-emphasized the commitment at a back-to-school fair in Ginger Hill, St. Elizabeth yesterday.

Mr. Grant’s pledge also followed his announcement that the JPS has completed power restoration works in St Elizabeth, ahead of the August 31 deadline.

He said the utility company will continue to work with selected hardware stores to provide discounts to JPS customers who need to repair their homes.

He reiterated that under the JPS Beryl relief initiative, eligible customers in the parish will receive a credit of $5000 on their electricity bill.
