Two rifles were seized in Top Gordon Crescent, Granville in St. James, yesterday.

Reports are that a police team searched a premises and found an M&P 15 rifle with a magazine containing ten cartridges and an M16 rifle with a magazine containing twenty-two cartridges.

The firearms and ammunition were seized.

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.

Head of the St. James police, Superintendent Eron Samuels said yesterday’s seizure pushes the number of weapons seized in the division since the start of the year to 72.
