PM Holness announces $25 million reward fund to support the investigation of Sunday’s mass shooting in Clarendon

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced a $25 million incentive programme to support the investigation of Sunday’s mass shooting in Cherry Tree Lane, Clarendon.

The incident left 8 people, including a 7 year old boy, dead.

Nine other people also sustained gunshot wounds.

Speaking during a press conference this morning, Mr. Holness said persons who provide credible information on the perpetrators and instruments used in the act will receive payments.

He added that $5 million will be provided for information which will result in evidence being secured against gangs involved in the incident.

Persons may use the secure tiplines to provide the information to the security forces.

These include Crime Stop at 311, the police 119 emergency number, and the NIB 811 tipline.
