Prime Minister Andrew Holness has sought to assure that the 185 gangs active in Jamaica, will be decreased significantly, following heightened security operations.

The security forces have been instructed to launch an all out assault on gangs.

This follows a mass killing in Cherry Tree Lane, Four Paths in Clarendon, on Sunday.

8 people, including a 7 year old boy were killed, while 9 others were wounded.

Gangs are said to have played a part in the incident.

Speaking during a press conference yesterday, Mr. Holness said all gangs in Jamaica must be targetted.
