PM Holness pledges all-out assault on gangs; says support will be sought from international partners to nab overseas players involved in yesterday’s massacre

Prime Minister Andrew Holness said the perpetrators of last evening’s deadly mass shooting in Cherry Tree Lane, Clarendon will be brought to justice in one way or another.

Mr. Holness made the statement during a press conference this morning.

Condemning the incident in which 17 people were shot, 8 fatally, including a 7 year old boy, Mr. Holness said the gangsters responsible will be pursued.

This as gangsters, overseas players and incarcerated persons are said to be involved in the mass shooting.

Noting that such an incident should never happen in Jamaica again, the Prime Minister said the security forces have been directed to launch an all out assault  on gangs involved.

Noting that no stone will be left unturned, he said Jamaica will be working with its international partners to nab the overseas players involved in the  incident.

In the meantime, he is urging persons to assist the police in their investigations.
