A woman died in a house fire in Highgate St. Mary yesterday morning. 

Police have identified her as Michelle Mills of Cromwelland District, Highgate.

Reports from the police are that about 3:17 A.M., residents saw fire coming from the woman’s home and contacted them and the fire department.

The fire was extinguished.

During the cooling-down exercise, the woman’s charred remains were discovered. 

Investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of the fire.
