Three men were fatally shot during a confrontation with police in Tryall, Spanish Town, St. Catherine this morning.

One of the deceased has been identified as Zimroy Geddes, otherwise called ‘Zim’.

Geddes was one of St. Catherine North’s most wanted men.

The other deceased have not been identified.

According to Head of the Police’s Communications Unit, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay the men were fatally shot when they engaged lawmen in a shootout at about 5:40 AM.

SSP Lindsay said the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is probing the matter.

She noted that a police officer was also wounded during the incident.

Two firearms and several rounds of ammunition were reportedly seized during the incident.
